Shortly after 11:30 pm, emergency services rushed to the scene of a car accident at the intersection of Coppards Road and Aeros Street in Moolap.
Upon arrival, responders found a Green Holden Sedan had collided with a power pole, causing the driver to be ejected onto the road.
The impact left the power pole visibly damaged.
Paramedics tended to a single male driver, aged in his 20s, treating him for lower body injuries before transporting him to Geelong Hospital in a stable condition.
Police at the scene hinted that speed might have contributed to the accident.
As authorities commenced their investigation, the area was cordoned off.
