Early Morning Assault in Corio Leaves Man Injured, Second Suspect Remains at Large

In the early hours of 31st October 2023, at approximately 3 a.m., local authorities responded to an assault in the Corio area.
At the time, it was reported that up to five individuals were present in a residence on Merlin Crescent.
During the incident, a man reportedly assaulted another before making a hasty escape on a bicycle.
The victim, identified as a 49-year-old Corio resident, suffered a non-life-threatening laceration to his body and was promptly transported to a nearby hospital.
As of now, the police are continuing their efforts to locate the second individual involved in the altercation. It is believed that the individuals involved have some prior connection.
