Emergency services responded to an aircraft incident that occurred in Connewarre on Friday, October 20.

A total of seventeen individuals, including the pilot, were aboard a plane that took off from Barwon Heads Airport at approximately 7:50 am.

The Cessna Caravan encountered difficulties and subsequently made an emergency landing in Connewarre.

Seven people were subsequently transported to hospital.

A man in his 30s was flown by air ambulance to The Alfred in a stable condition with upper body injuries.

A man in his 30s was taken to University Hospital Geelong in a stable condition with upper body injuries.

A man in his 30s was taken to University Hospital Geelong in a stable condition with an upper body injury.

A man in his 30s was taken to University Hospital Geelong in a stable condition with upper and lower body injuries.

A man in his 20s was taken to University Hospital Geelong in a stable condition with upper body injuries.

A man in his 20s was taken to University Hospital Geelong in a stable condition with upper and lower body injuries.

A man in his 40s was taken to University Hospital Geelong in a stable condition with upper and lower body injuries.

Paramedics assessed 10 other people from the aircraft at the scene, but they did not require emergency treatment or transport

“The safety of our guests and team is our highest priority. A full investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of the incident and the company will work with all appropriate authorities.” a spokesperson for Sky Diving Australia told Geelong TV.

Authorities are actively conducting investigations to ascertain the precise circumstances surrounding this incident.
