Emergency services responded to reports of an injured boy in Newtown on Saturday, June 1.
The young boy reportedly fell from his mountain bike after attempting a jump on a bike track just down an embankment from Deviation Road shortly after 12 PM.
The rescue involved a multi-agency high-angle operation, including Police, Ambulance Victoria, the State Emergency Service, Fire Rescue Victoria, and the County Fire Authority.
The 14-year-old boy was treated at the scene by Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance (MICA) paramedics for an upper body injury.
He was then flown by air ambulance to the Royal Children’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
