A man was taken into custody following an alleged collision with a parked vehicle in Geelong West on Monday, January 15.
According to reports, the male driver was traveling along Autumn Street around 5 am when he allegedly collided with an unoccupied vehicle. Fortunately, there were no occupants inside the parked vehicle at the time of the incident.
Paramedics responded to the scene to assess a female passenger, but she did not require hospitalization.
The driver, identified as a 34-year-old Norlane resident, was apprehended at the accident site.
Subsequently, he was charged with offenses including careless driving, drug-related violations, and driving without displaying P-plates.
The individual has been granted bail and is scheduled to appear at Geelong Magistrate’s Court on March 15.
