Emergency services rushed to a chaotic scene on Geelong Ring Road, Hamlyn Heights, at 2:59 PM after Triple Zero (000) calls reported a violent single-vehicle rollover with an occupant potentially trapped.
Firefighters arrived to find a devastating sight: a vehicle on its roof and a man in his 30s trapped inside.
The occupant was mechanically pinned, and the complex rescue operation required the combined efforts of Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV), CFA, SES, and Ambulance Victoria crews.
After a tense and challenging extraction process, the man was freed and rushed to University Hospital Geelong by road with non-life threatening injuries
The incident caused significant disruption, with the scene declared under control only at 3:28 PM.
Victoria Police were also in attendance to assist with the aftermath of the crash.
