Paramedics were called to Torquay Skydivers drop zone shortly after 5:00 p.m.
following a distressing incident where a 30-year-old male plummeted to the ground at high velocity.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear at this time.
It is believed that the individual was skydiving solo.
He was airlifted to The Alfred hospital in a serious but stable condition, suffering from lower body injuries.
