Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews responded to a house fire on Cernan Court, Whittington, at 2:57 am after a Triple Zero (000) caller reported the blaze.
Crews arrived to find the single-storey weatherboard house fully engulfed in flames.
Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters worked swiftly to bring the fire under control and issued a community warning for smoke in the area.
A search of the property confirmed no occupants were inside.
By 3:20 am, the fire was declared under control.
The cause of the fire was deemed suspicious, and the scene has been handed over to Victoria Police for further investigation.
