Ballarat Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for information following two suspicious bush fires in the Ballarat area.
Emergency services were called to a bush fire on Recreation Road, Mount Clear about 12.30pm on 20 December.
Whilst responding to the fire, detectives became aware of another fire around 200 metres away on Dozed Track, Canadian.
It is believed a man was seen in the area of the fires, and detectives are keen to speak to him.
He is described as being aged in his mid-30’s wearing a white t-shirt and black pants.
Detectives are also keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time.
